Ahmad Redzuan has a combined experience of more than 19 years within the investment and corporate strategy world, with strength in the private equity area. Prior to VentureTECH, Ahmad Redzuan served Malaysia’s largest fund management company, Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) for over eight years before being appointed as the Head of Investment. He then moved to Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB) to work on Special Projects under the Executive Director’s Office. He returned to VentureTECH as Chief Investment Officer in 2016. Under his stewardship of the investment department, he successfully grew the company by fuelling numerous quality investments, resulting in the multi-fold growth for both VentureTECH and its portfolio of investee companies. He was named Deputy Chief Executive Officer in January 2022, and will also continue to lead the investment department in his capacity as the Chief Investment Officer. Ahmad Redzuan completed his Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investments from The Financial and Securities Institute of Australia. He also holds a Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Computer Science with Information System from The University of Manchester.

Asrul joined VentureTECH in 2017. He brings a wealth of experience in accounting, finance, consulting and auditing. He started as an auditor at PwC where he served for over 9 years. He also had a stint as consultant at Prokhas and the Ministry of Finance, Malaysia (MOF). Prior to joining VentureTECH, he was the Head of Corporate Service for the Halal Industry Development Corporation (HDC). Asrul holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from University of Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN). He is a Chartered Accountant and a member of Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountant (MICPA), Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), and The Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy, UK (CIPFA).

Presently, Nizam is the Chief Operating Officer of VentureTECH. Nizam oversees the value creation strategies for each of VentureTECH’s portfolio companies, with the twin aim of achieving sustainable growth and creating lasting positive socio-economic impact. Nizam graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from The University of Manchester.

Akmar served as Senior Investment Manager for VentureTECH since May 2015. Previously, she spent more than 15 years in Maybank and her last position was as a Senior Account Manager for Corporate Remedial Management. She was responsible for activities related to loan origination, monitoring, and recovery for SME and Mid-Corporate clients from various industries in Maybank . In that capacity, she was also tasked to provide advisory and overall strategy to the SME Business Center. Akmar received her MBA from Universiti Utara Malaysia. She obtaind a Professional Credit Certification from Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers and had also received Professional Credit Certification from Omega International.

Prior to joining VentureTECH in 2016, Sarah spent 7 years at Global Maritime Ventures (GMV), a marine venture capital investment holding company, a subsidiary of Malaysian Development Bank. She brings extensive experience related to regional deal making and investment process from her previous post as an investment analyst. Sarah holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance from Liverpool John Moores University. She is currently completing her MBA in Corporate Finance & Investment as well as Master in Management from University of Hertfordshire.

Ina possesses more than eight years of experience in management consulting and market research across various industries. Prior to joining VentureTECH, she was a Consulting Analyst in Frost & Sullivan, with focus on corporate strategy, feasibility study and market assessment, industry masterplan and roadmap development. Throughout her consulting career, she has amassed extensive experience in project management and delivery, client relationship, and crisis management. She had taken up assignments covering both the private and public sectors in Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, Thailand, the Philippines and Pakistan. Ina holds a Bachelor’s Degree (Highest Honours) from Rochester Institute of Technology, New York.
